Update: The Prize Pool is live on Polygon!

On May 14 the upcoming PoolTogether NFT Prize pool was announced. Deposits in the pool will give a weekly chance to win one of the 11 NFTs whilst the deposited DAI will sit in AAVE via Polygon and can be withdrawn with no loss!

Participating artists will be rewarded with 100 POOL token (~2,300$ currently ) More info here.

Below we will give a preview of the four NFTs that are already completed and minted, as well as a peek at the artists themselves!

ROBODONNA by Simon Wan

Simon Wan spent his early life dodging detentions and falling in love all over the UK and Ireland. His love for girls is matched by his love of cats, skateboards, food, music and robots. A post university adventure in pop music took him to the strangest night clubs and festivals and his adventures in film making took him all over the world.

Together with Robin Schmidt from The Defiant and $MEME, Simon created one of the most exciting NFT projects of 2020, The Rug Pull, where he contributed a drawing of Alfred Hitchcock in his iconic “neon scribble”-style. The 12 NFTs, of which one included a hidden wrapped BTC, sold for around $65k already before the NFT hype started to take off. Simon is currently working on his first NFT collection drop called OBLIQUITY — keep an eye on it!

For the PoolTogether NFT prize pool, Simon drew ROBODONNA, a robot Madonna with a NoLoss hat on (merch incoming?). The NFT is accompanied by the original on canvas which is full of fascinating detail and will be shipped to the winner by Simon! Check out ROBODONNA on Rarible here.

PoolTogether by Hans Haugaard

Hans Haugaard is a Belgian-Dane based in Stockholm and developed his creativity and love for the visual arts on the benches of his Belgian school hoping to catch someone’s eye. Believe it or not, it turned out drawing helped get girls’ attention. Who would’ve thought? After prom night he studied Advertising and Design at CAD Brussels before moving to Sweden where he now works as a Creative Consultant for The Absolut (Vodka) Company.

Hans’ Crying Monsters link sadness and euphoria, channeled and translated through tears, smiles trials and tribulations. Happiness, sadness, madness and hopes — it’s all there. These are ubiquitous feelings that unite us and drive us.

In his contribution to the PoolTogether NFT prize pool, Hans has painted two little fish capturing the emotions of small fish and the excitement of smallfish.win. The winner of the NFT will also receive the original painting on canvas which will bring “PoolTogether” to his home.
